About kardfolio
I’m Calvin. I build kardfolio on my own. It is the benefit tracker I wanted for my own cards and could not find.
Where it started.
I collect credit card points and use them to travel. For a long time I kept track of my cards’ benefits with Reminders and Notion. It worked until the next card. Every new card meant typing in its credits, amounts and reset dates myself, then fixing them whenever the issuer changed something. I was maintaining a small database to remember a $10 credit.
Why not use what already exists?
I looked. Two things kept sending me back to my own list.
- Many trackers want your bank connection. That is how they know a credit was used, and it means they can read your transactions. I was not comfortable handing that over to find out whether I had used a dining credit.
- The details were not thought through the way I wanted. A card benefit is a small thing you deal with for a few seconds: what ends first, how much is left, did I use it. I wanted a tool designed around those few seconds.
So I built the one I wanted. kardfolio does not ask for your bank login. You pick your cards, their credits and reset dates are already there, and you log a use when you make one.
One person builds it.
I design, build and run kardfolio myself. Most of that time goes into questions that sound small: what people actually do with their cards, what they expect a tool like this to handle for them, and what should be on the screen first.
I also like how card enthusiasts share what works, such as how to use a credit that is awkward to use. I want kardfolio to be useful to the same people: card enthusiasts and travelers who want what they already pay for.
Being one person has a plain upside. When you write in, the reply comes from the person who can fix it.
How it is paid for.
kardfolio is paid for by subscriptions. That is the only way it earns money. It is free with 3 cards, and Pro is $59 a year or $8 a month for every card you hold. Pricing shows what each includes before anything is charged.
The pages on this site have no affiliate links. No card and no tool is listed, ranked or described a certain way because someone paid for it.
How the facts are kept.
Each card’s fees, credits and terms are read from the issuer’s published pages and dated. How card facts are sourced explains the rules, including what is shown when a fact is not known.
I write the guides under Learn. Where one describes another tool, the statement comes from that tool’s own pages and links to them.
How to reach me.
Write to support@kardfolio.app. That reaches me. If a card fact or a statement on this site is wrong, I want to know.
